What To Do, So Hackers Don't

The overwhelming general population, ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies, are actually underwhelmed about cyber security. According to CNN, “hackers have exposed the personal information of 110 million Americans - roughly half of the nation’s adults -- in the last 12 months alone” (CNN Money). This is only  fraction of the amount of accounts that were hacked in the past year, which has reached ~432 million. “Roughly half of Americans (49%) feel that their personal information is less secure than it was 5 years ago” (Americans and Cybersecurity, Pew Research Center).  Not only is it scary how many people have been hacked, but most are completely unaware that they’ve even been hacked.
